UAMS Internal Communications Steering Committee

The Internal Communications Steering Committee, which first met in November 2012 with 23 members representing groups across UAMS, was established in response to the 2011 Employee Satisfaction Survey.
One of the responses was a need to improve internal communication at UAMS. In an action item subsequently approved by the Chancellor’s Cabinet, the committee was developed.

The committee includes representatives from clinical programs, the colleges, the institutes, regional programs, campus operations, Human Resources, the House of Delegates and the Academic Senate.
The goal is to develop a two-way street through monthly meetings: gather feedback and suggestions on internal communications improvements from the group while updating them about ongoing institutional initiatives (digital signs, Epic, patient- and family-centered care) for them to communicate to their networks of colleagues
